Morning Runner

Tonight saw the end of this is England ’86 and I have barely just got my breath back. The show is the most powerfull, riveting and well put together programmes I have ever seen on television. A truly visceral show, at times my heart was pounding through my chest, others I felt physically sick or on the other side of the spectrum, delirously happy and warm.
There are few filmmakers around that can combine total realism and accuracy as well as expert story telling pacing like Shane Meadows can. I have said it before but I will say it again, Meadows is truly the greatest director our nation as ever produced.
